June Client Update

June Client Update
June 29, 2021

Due to staffing changes, changing from a three doctor practice to a two doctor practice, and the overall increase in need for veterinary medicine over the past year we have found the need to make some changes to our current policies. We also will be changing our hours of operation. We like to keep everyone as up to date as we can.  Please read through all of our updates carefully.

-As of June 22nd 2021 we are temporarily no longer taking on new clients.

-As of June 29th 2021 we will have new business hours in place. They are as follows:

Monday 8 am - 6 pm

Tuesday 8 am - 5 pm

Wednesday 8 am - 5 pm

Thursday 8 am - 8 pm

Friday 8 am - 5 pm

Saturday 8 am - 12 pm

-Due to staffing there will be a few days in June where will be closing earlier than usual during the day. Some of these days we will not have a doctor on staff.

Tuesday, July 13th 2021 our hours will be 8 am - 1 pm.

Wednesday, July 14th 2021 our hours will be 8 am - 3 pm.

Tuesday, July 27th 2021 our hours will be 8 am - 1 pm.

Wednesday, July 28th 2021 our hours will be 8 am - 3 pm.

Saturday, August 7th 2021 we will be closed so that we can be open on Monday, August 2nd 2021.

-There will also be a few days in July that we will have a relief vet on staff. Some of you have already met Dr. Anderson as she has done some relief work in the past for us and she is also the certified behaviorist that we recommend.

-We ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment that you give us 24 hour notice.

-We are requiring a nonrefundable deposit for all surgeries.

-We are also charging a $50 no show fee for all appointments.

-We require that all clients are of 18 years of age in order to have your own account.

-We have also updated our client sheets to have the following statement:

"I also understand that in order for Finger Lakes Animal Hospital to provide the best care for my pet(s) that it is important that there is mutual respect and trust between doctors, staff, and clients. We ask that as a client you maintain a respectful demeanor when communicating your needs and concerns to our staff. Any verbal abuse will not be accepted and may be grounds for dismissal from the practice."

Thank you all for your support and understanding.
